Following inflated, unsuccessful preliminary quotations by nationwide energy suppliers agents with huge amount of paperwork to sign and limited explanation how the actual work was going to be tackled. In short, the job required the existing boiler to be scrapped and a brand new one installed in a more convenient location:
I became more determined to use a local reputable installer and proceeded to visit the Worcester Bosch Group official website where a I was able to locate Steve Brooks Plumbing & Heating Engineer as a recommended Worcester Accredited Installer. I contacted him and his response was extremely prompt, he came to assess the work and a quotation followed shortly via email. I had no doubts after meeting him, that he was the best person for the job. He exceeded my expectations once I commissioned him to do the work, i.e. having made him aware that we had no hot water, he was also able to priorities the job. On the Job I found him adaptable, approachable and open to alternative solutions especially when it came to reroute new pipework from the main supply.
Steve Brookes priced his work appropriately in comparison to the high degree of art and skill exhibited in the finished product. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who wishes to engage his services as a Heating & Plumbing Engineer.
We employed Steve Brookes eighteen months ago to completely renew our ancient heating system including installing a new combi boiler and replacing all pipework, radiators and controls. From the start we were impressed by his clear expertise in the field and were grateful for his help and advice to decide on the right system for us. Although competitive, he was not the cheapest quote we obtained but he came across as a competent, experienced professional who was also a nice guy who we would be happy to leave in our home. We did not regret our decision. He turned up on the date planned, carried the whole job out in the time specified and in spite of extensive work involving lifting floorboards in every room, taking out all existing fittings and installing new there was little mess and he made every effort to minimise disruption to the family. We were extremely impressed by his calm, professional manner and his keenness to ensure we were completely happy with the work done.
Eighteen months on the heating system is working perfectly and we are extremely pleased we chose Steve to carry out the work. So impressed were we that we have employed Steve's firm to carry out all our plumbing work since then and have continued to be more than happy with the quality of the work carried out. I have known Steve Brookes through a residential project we worked together on a year ago.
